The SweetWhisper app

SweetWhisper is designed so your data never leaves your computer:

Microphone capture and speech recognition run locally on your PC. Audio is never sent to our — or anyone's — servers.
Transcription history is stored only in a local database on your computer; you can clear it at any time.
The app contains no telemetry or analytics. Error reports are sent only if you explicitly enable that option in settings; they never include recognized text, history or personal data.
Cloud recognition and AI services (OpenAI, Yandex, etc.) are used only if you enable them yourself and provide your own key. In that case your data is processed by those services under their terms.
Cloud-service keys are stored in the protected Windows credential store.
To offer the 14-day Pro trial once per device, the app stores an anonymous trial-start marker locally (in the Windows registry and a local file), tied to an anonymous, irreversible device hash. This marker never leaves your computer and is intentionally kept after uninstall so a reinstall does not start a new trial; it contains no recordings, text or personal data.

The Android app is a separate product from the same operator. This section is the privacy policy for its Google Play listing.

Speech is recognized on the device (whisper.cpp / TensorFlow Lite / sherpa-onnx with the Parakeet and GigaAM models). Audio never leaves the phone; the mobile app has no cloud recognition at all.
The microphone is used only during a dictation you start — by holding the button, tapping it, or via the hands-free mode you enable yourself. Audio is not kept as files after recognition.
Sweet Whisper acts as a voice keyboard: it reaches only the field you dictate into and inserts the recognized text there. It is not a typing keyboard — it does not intercept what you type on other keyboards and does not read passwords.
Transcription history is stored in a local database in the app's private directory. It can be switched off (separately for the app and for the keyboard) and cleared at any time. Backup is disabled (allowBackup="false" plus data-extraction rules), so history and settings reach neither Google cloud backup nor device-to-device transfer.
No telemetry, no analytics, no ad SDKs, no crash reporting.
The app goes online only to download recognition models when you start a download — to Hugging Face, or to our sweetwhisper.app mirror where Hugging Face is blocked. Nothing about you, your recordings or your text is sent. There is no other outbound traffic.
As of this revision the mobile app is free and contains no purchases.

The site is static and uses no cookies or trackers.
If you leave an email in the early-access form, it is used only to notify you about the release and is processed by the form provider. You can request deletion at any time.
