Video to text
Video to text: transcribe video on your computer
To get the text out of a video, open the file in SweetWhisper. It extracts the audio and transcribes it right on your Windows PC, offline. There’s no length limit, and the text is saved next to the file.
Video transcription is part of Pro: free for the first 14 days after you install, then a one-time purchase — no subscription. What Pro includes
How to transcribe a video
Save the video to your PC
SweetWhisper works with files: mp4, mkv, mov, avi, flv, webm. It can’t take a YouTube or VK link, so download the video first.
Choose “Transcribe from files”
It is in the tray icon’s menu and in the floating bar’s menu. You can pick several videos at once.
Pick the audio track
If a video has several audio tracks, the app asks which one to transcribe.
Get the text
Copy it or paste it into another app. A .txt file appears next to the video, and you can save SRT and VTT subtitles from History.

Do I need a graphics card?
No, but it’s faster with one: NVIDIA, AMD or Intel. Without a GPU, the CPU does the work, noticeably slower.
